Resources

Faculty in Classical Studies edit two academic journals:

Ellis Library houses one of the country's more extensive holdings in Classical literature, Archaeology, and ancient history, and contains a full range of Classical periodicals and serials.

The Walter Miller Departmental Library, adjacent to departmental offices, keeps a good working collection of texts and reference works.

The Museum of Art and Archaeology contains one of the finest collections of ancient Mediterranean artifacts in the Midwest.

The department's TLG and PHI disks and the Perseus databases, accessible through work stations in the department's seminar room, are available for student use and research in addition to the department's extensive slide library.

Our department and Art and Archaeology offer opportunities for archeological excavation abroad.
